The Stud Dominates in Cowtown

A huge congratulations goes to Carsyn Hodde for exhibiting the Grand Champion Barrow at the Fort Worth Stock Show.  “22”, as the Hodde family called him, was sired by No Hesitation.  No Hesitation has had a great run the past 2 years and we are excited to add this win to the long list of his champions.  22’s mother is “Vanessa”, a Springsteen daughter that is also the mother of the boar named “Hang em High” that is now standing at The Stud.  Randy, Carsyn’s dad, came to Decatur, Tx in September and purchased “22” at the Kings of the Hill Pig Sale with aspirations of showing him at San Antonio.  We quickly realized that he was going to grow faster than needed for that show, so as a group, it was decided to target him for Fort Worth.  Carsyn showed him one other time at the Kings of the Hill Futurity, where he was 4th overall.  He wasn’t dialed in and ready for that show, but when he hit the ring it was apparent to us that if all things came together he would have a shot come February.  Well, they did and we couldn’t be more proud to have been a part of such a great day and huge win in Fort Worth.  Great job to Carsyn, Randy, and the entire Hodde family of an incredible job and a well deserved victory with an awesome barrow! #studstrong
